Mirren Park is now a fully accredited Living Wage Foundation Organisation. The Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually. Employers choose to pay the Living Wage on a voluntary basis, while the National Minimum Wage is statutory and enforced by HM Revenue and Customs. The hourly rate is calculated according to the basic cost of living in the UK. Living Wage Accreditation enables employers to be recognised for paying their staff a fair, decent wage. On becoming accredited, employers are awarded the Living Wage Employer Mark, which is a fair-trade mark for responsible pay.
